If you run a freelance practice or small agency in India, your "business system" is probably five or six tools stitched together: WhatsApp for updates, email for contracts, a separate app for invoices, Drive for files, a spreadsheet for who's paid what. TechoStop was built to fold all of that into a single, branded client portal.

What TechoStop actually is

TechoStop is client portal and business management software aimed at freelancers, agencies, and small-to-medium businesses. It's the work of Saptarshi Samanta, a full-stack developer who wanted Indian freelancers to give clients a more professional, self-serve experience without juggling a dozen disconnected apps. Plans start at ₹299/month, and every tier ships with a portal carrying your own branding rather than TechoStop's.

The core features

Client management. Each client gets a shared space to check project status, message you, review invoices, and pull up shared documents — instead of scrolling through old email threads.

E-documents and e-signatures. Upload a PDF or draft a text-based agreement inside the platform, then send it for signature by link, email, or direct assignment. Signers can type or draw their signature, and every signature is stamped with a timestamp and IP address for legal traceability.

Invoicing and payments. Create invoices, log partial payments, and record receipts without leaving the dashboard — handy for anyone billing in installments or taking advances.

Employee and team tools. This is where TechoStop goes beyond a typical client portal: it also handles payroll, attendance, leave requests, and expense approvals for your internal team, so agencies aren't running a separate HR tool alongside their client-facing one.

Public business profiles. Every account can publish a public page listing services, portfolio pieces, reviews, and a booking link — a lightweight storefront that doubles as a lead-gen page.

Forms and scheduling. Built-in forms collect information from prospects or clients, and a public calendar lets people book time with you directly, cutting out the scheduling back-and-forth.

Built with India in mind

A lot of client-portal software is designed for a US or European audience by default — Stripe instead of UPI, no GST-compliant invoicing, contract language that assumes a different legal system. TechoStop leans specifically into the Indian market: GST invoicing is native, and payments run through Razorpay.

Security, briefly

Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, with row-level security so one client can never see another client's data. Infrastructure runs on established providers — Cloudflare for security, Cloudinary for media, Razorpay for payments — rather than homegrown systems for each piece.

Who it's actually for

TechoStop is aimed at people who bill clients directly and manage a small team — freelancers, consultants, agencies. If your business doesn't work with "clients" in that sense, most of the portal, e-signature, and invoicing tools won't be relevant. But for anyone whose week involves client comms, contracts, and invoices, it's a fairly complete replacement for that whole scattered stack.
